To the Men, Women and Families of the HUGS Project,
Thank you for your support of the men and women of the U.S. standing watch in
the Arabian Gulf.
I am a BMC/E-7 in the coast guard and I am assigned to a training group out of
Norfolk, VA. I travel to here twice a year for about six weeks total and I conduct
training. The Coast Guard has a small number of ships over there to support the
navy mission.
While I was there, I saw your STARS, and I brought a dozen or so with me on one of
our missions in the Arabian Gulf. I then sent those on to my family and friends
back home. If I had thought it through, I should have set one aside to return to
you, A little more seasoned then when you sent it out to us.
I do have one more trip planned out before I rotate to my next assignment, and I
will try to bring one star along on one of our missions to send back to you.
Again, thank you for your thoughts, prayers, and support. Every small act of
kindness at home joins to become an avalanche of goodies and supplies, letters,
and expressions of love which are displayed on every ship and in every office.
